Today, after getting the basic information about ROV, I finished the " what is an ROV" page with Nicole. I also reviewed all the info such as the major parts of ROV, how ROV works and how ROV is used for,  getting ready for the upcoming interview. For the next class, I am looking forward to getting into the actual ROV building works. Before that, I will probably start learning some basic soldering skills or something else related.

Today, we finished our interview, making sure everyone knows about the basics of ROV. Then we had the first try to control an ROV. To be ready for the building, I watched the training and safety videos such as the building of frame, control box, and motors. Hopefully next time we can  work with tools.

Today,  I started working on the propulsion/motors building. After watching training videos of how to strip, solder and waterproof the wires, I took some  practice , looking forward to being ready to work on the actual ROV parts for the next time.

Today, I finished attaching propellers to all three motors. This time I found it was challenging to build the side strain relief because  I had to be really careful about cutting the wires. Next time hopefully I will finish the last step of motor stuff and connect them to the control box.

Today, I finished one motor's waterproof prep stuff and soldering it. I still have 2 more motors to go so what I am looking forward is to finish up all the soldering and waterproofing.

Today, the rest two  motors are set, having the waterproof prep and waiting for soldering. It got me some problem since I forgot the waterproof prep for the wires before I twisted them together. Redoing took me more time. Next time I will finish up all the soldering.

Today, all the soldering and waterproofing for three motors are done. Next time we will try to attach motors to the frame and see how it works.
